Australian Internet Statistics

Australia has no one industry body that produces Statistics that covers a range of variables. The ABS online has a small amount of information from the census data and Hitwise are only working with data samples. The International Online Statistics site has very outdated stats for Australia. Many of the surveys are expensive and again samples only - so following is a collaboration of information collated from a number of sources most of which has been collected from related press releases in 2009.

At the end of June 2009, there were 8.4 million active internet subscribers in Australia.
